Preserving melon in port allows us to keep all the flavor and color of summer in the pantry thanks to a very simple recipe.

We will use moderately ripe melons from our garden and our port, a typical Portuguese wine which is suitable for the preparation of syrups and sauces and which gives a characteristic sweet flavor to preserves.

The jar allows us to avoid waste when the harvest from the garden is too abundant. In this way we will have at our disposal a simple and summery dessert even far from the harvest of our melons.
