With the GT Garden, no branch is out of reach! Indeed, this pruner has a pole made up of 4 different elements which allow it to reach 4.15 m. Its head is both adjustable in 7 positions (from 0° to 90°), enough to cut any branch with precision and ease. Thanks to the priming pump with which it is equipped, starting is also effortless. Its 9.5 kg on the scale (excluding fuel) does not prevent it from being particularly handy, either at arm’s length while holding one of the poles, or closer thanks to the carrying strap included. Among the accessories included are finally the chain, of course, as well as a container for the mixture, a spark plug wrench, a screwdriver as well as a protection for the bar.
My opinion : This GT Garden was such a nice surprise that it had no trouble establishing itself as my favorite pole saw among the thermal models! I find it really ideal for domestic use, especially thanks to the fact that it is able to climb very high, which frankly facilitates the maintenance of large trees. Well, we’re not going to lie to each other, with more than 10 kg when full, it quickly becomes quite heavy when you handle it at height, especially when you have put all its extensions on it. But the fact that it is practical completely compensates for this lack of lightness, especially since it remains perfectly handy and slips where you want with its adjustable head. The price is not excessive either, we are in a French brand and so I would tell you not to hesitate if you let yourself be tempted.

A multifunction tool designed for the complete maintenance of green spaces! This Chester is not just a simple thermal trimmer, it can also be equipped with other heads to become a hedge trimmer or even a brush cutter (wire or blade). To put it simply, these different heads snap on the main device very easily and the change does not require any complex mechanics, just a little tightening and loosening. This kit also includes a 75 cm long extension which allows the trimmer to reach 2.90 m and the hedge trimmer up to 3.10 m in height. Enough to reinforce its usefulness and be able to use it in all branches of the garden! To ensure user safety, a pair of gloves and a pair of goggles are finally included. (A screwdriver, spanner and hex keys are also provided.)
My opinion : Having 3 tools at the same time is clearly the main advantage of this Chester. If you need a pole pruner for your garden, it’s a safe bet that a hedge trimmer and a brushcutter will also come in handy! And the good thing about this device is that all the features are as good as each other. The power is there and it fits well. As is often the case with thermals, however, it’s a bit skimpy in terms of weight. Whatever the tool, they all revolve around 8kg (without fuel) and as no harness is provided, maneuverability still suffers. But this machine is still very interesting due to its multifunctionality and that is reason enough to recommend it!

A pruner but also a hedge trimmer! Greenworks offers here a tool capable of combining these two functionalities for an optimal result. Indeed, pruning benefits from a 20 cm bar capable of crossing all branches, while the hedge trimmer can be articulated in 7 different positions to offer the perfect alignment while benefiting from a rotating handle. Both share a 40V 2 Ah battery (included) as well as a telescopic handle that allows them to reach 2.10 m or even 2.40 m. Weighing only 4.3 kg and 2.8 kg respectively, they impress with their lightness and are actually very maneuverable, which makes them even more practical to get over all the branches and have a neat garden!
My opinion : If, like me, you appreciate all-purpose tools, you should be interested in this Greenworks. Among the electric chainsaws, it is my favorite and for a simple reason: it combines all the advantages! Doing both pruning and hedge trimming, it really knows how to be useful, especially since it shows good performance in these two functions. It has no problem cutting thick branches and hedges, it easily passes over 15 or even 20 mm. Its handle is certainly a little short to reach certain trees, but on the other hand, with its featherweight, it is pleasant to handle! We work really effortlessly or almost. The battery life is a little short (30 minutes) but it is very easily regulated with a spare battery. It’s really a device where you can position yourself without hesitation!

This Ryobi secateur is distinguished by its particularly extendable pole: in fact, it can reach 4 m in height. Thanks to him, it is no longer necessary to use a ladder, the branches of the highest trees are easily accessible. Equipped with a 20 cm guide that goes up to a speed of 5.5 m/s, it guarantees optimal cutting performance, even on thick branches. Its head can also be tilted for always precise work. In addition to easy maintenance (the chain is automatically lubricated, a window allows you to check the oil level at a glance, quick access to the tank…), it finally offers a certain comfort of use, in particular by its ergonomics. bee micronido handle and a weight that barely exceeds 4 kg.
My opinion : This Ryobi is a pruner that I would recommend if you need to access great heights. Few models go up to 4m, and even if the telescopic pole can lack a little rigidity when it is fully extended, it can still be very useful for cutting this branch very high in the sky. Beyond its practical aspect, it is also a powerful and pleasant tool to use, with which you will have no trouble giving fresh air to your garden. The ability to tilt the head is also great to make it even easier to use and get exactly the cut you want. The low price is explained by the fact that no battery is supplied, but if you already have tools from the One+ range, don’t worry!

The pole pruner that Gardebruk offers you here has a telescopic aluminum pole that can be extended from 2 to 2.65 m, making it easier to work at height. The cutting power is further provided by a 750 W motor and a 26 cm guide that rotates at a speed of 9 m/s. Usable throughout the house, even in the bushes, it has an adjustable shoulder strap that makes it more comfortable to carry, especially on the back. On the comfort side, its Oregon blade is also anti-vibration, while the safety handle is rubber and non-slip. Its assembly is finally easy and does not require tools, enough to make it accessible to any user.
My opinion : Unlike all the other trimmers in this selection, the Gardebruk is corded, meaning you’ll likely need to use an extension cord outdoors to properly maintain your garden and maintain good freedom of movement. But if it’s a detail that doesn’t bother you, this device is really a good alternative because it has a much more affordable price and its performance is quite up to par. It has no problem cutting large branches and the head even tilts up to 30° for precise work. As for its weight (3.8 kg), it is quite reasonable and does not cause significant muscle fatigue. If you are looking for an inexpensive mower, this is the model for you.
