The irrigation of garlic, as well as the care of garlic in general, is a fundamental element to take into account in its cultivation, since it is a somewhat special vegetable in this regard and different in terms of needs. The irrigation of garlic varies a little depending on the climate in which we find ourselves. That is, whether it is rainy seasons or not. Of course, 20 days after they are harvested, we will completely stop watering them, so as not to have any storage or rotting problems.
When to water garlic: how often
During the first month, it is recommended to water the garlic every 2 days. After the first month, and during months 2 and 3 of cultivation, garlic should be watered every 4 or 5 days, and from the fourth month it should be watered about once a week.
But as we said, it will vary depending on the area, if there is rain, etc.

I also touch on the topic of fertilizer in the video, but in short, it’s not a plant that needs a lot of fertilizer. And as in the case of irrigation, it is almost better to keep it short, but if we have to add a type of fertilizer rich in potassium.

If we see that where we planted a clove, more than one stem has grown, it is also interesting and important to remove it, so that the heads develop well.
