Products against grapevine downy mildew

the grapevine downy mildew is one of the great problems of world viticulture. This fungus is very complicated to eliminate when it is installed in the crop and the ideal atmospheric conditions (humidity and temperature) are met for its development.

This disease, caused by various strains depending on the crop in question, affects many plants, including ornamentals.

the grapevine downy mildew is known as Plasmopara viticolaand is considered an oomycete of the Peronosporaceae family.

In this article we will learn how grapevine mildew works, but above all see the products authorized against grapevine mildew.

Products authorized against vine downy mildew

In this table below you can see the authorized active ingredients (including some authorized in organic farming) at the date of writing this article.

However, it is advisable to consult the official list of the Ministry, as we show in the previous link.

For organic farming, it is interesting to play on the preventive action of the different forms of copper:

Complexed forms of copper, of lower concentration but with greater foliar assimilation capacity, such as copper gluconate, are also often used.
