When I started my first crops, some of the gardening books I’m going to talk about already existed, but the information was much more limited, as was the possibility of finding certain titles.
Over time, I have written a lot about the garden, but I have also read a lot. These are some of the best works devoted to horticulture. I compiled this list for any blog readers who ask me which gardening and urban gardening books I recommend. Here I made a selection.

John Seymour is known to be one of the leading figures in the self-reliance movement. It is a classic and recommended guide for all those who want to live in a more sustainable way, applied to self-cultivation.
4. Pests and diseases of organic vegetables and fruit trees, by Xavi Fontanet I Roig and Andreu Vila Pascual
Garden pests can be a real nightmare, but growing without using pesticides or toxic products, as the authors of this book say and as we always emphasize in La Huertina, is not only possible but also necessary. A very interesting guide that I recommend.

Although until now all the books speak about the garden in general, they are all partly valid as books on the urban garden. I even devote a final section to my work. But this jewel could not be missing from the list.
