Chelated iron is a specialized chemical form of iron in the form of water-soluble chelated complexes, which means it is much more efficient for uptake by plants. It’s more easily absorbed than inorganic iron, which means it dissolves much faster in water, doesn’t build up in soil, and is less likely to get lost in sewers.

Iron chelate for plants: what is it for?
Simply put, chelate is used to control iron deficiency in plants.
All plants need iron to maintain balanced health. Plants deficient in this mineral usually manifest themselves by leaf chlorosis, characteristic of iron deficiency, although other plants may need it simply to improve their production, as in the case of certain garden vegetables, this which can be useful, but not essential, as well as some fruit trees.
Orange trees, lemon trees and fruit trees can benefit from the use of this compound, as well as many ornamental plants.

Fert. Iron chelate envelope for 5L
- Iron deficiency corrector, also known as iron chlorosis, which is identified by green veins
- Cures and prevents ferric chlorosis of plant leaves
- Dissolve the entire contents of the sachet in 1 L or 5 L of water
- One envelope for 5 trees or 10 medium-sized plants
Dose per liter of water
The amount of iron chelate to apply varies by plant, however, 1-3 grams of iron chelate is generally used per liter of water. Therefore, care must be taken with the amount of iron chelate applied, especially on small plants.

How often to add iron chelate
Generally, chelated iron can be applied to plants 3-6 times per year. This will help plants grow more vigorous and be less likely to develop iron deficiencies. If the soil contains a lot of iron, it is not necessary to apply chelate.
When to add iron to lemon trees?
Lemon trees need chelated iron when the soil does not contain enough nitrogen, potassium or phosphorus. This is because iron helps to stimulate growth and fruit production. It is usually detected by yellow leaves. The best time to apply it to lemon trees is in the spring.

How to tell if water has a lot of iron
To find out if the water contains a lot of iron, a test can be carried out in the laboratory. The test will check the level of iron in the water to determine if there is a higher than normal concentration or if there is a deficiency and in this case it is recommended to apply iron chelate. The appropriate iron level depends on the plant and the soil.
What can it be mixed with?
Iron chelate is simply mixed with water, with which it is diluted if watered down. It is not recommended to mix it with phosphoric acid or nitric acid, as this may burn the plants.
