Garden and garden shears

Scissors are a very useful tool for the garden and orchard: they are mainly used to prune trees, remove bushes or parts of plants and in some cases also to pick fruits and vegetables without damaging the branch. Depending on the work we plan to do, we can choose the shears, which can have a curved blade, perfect for cutting twigs, with a ratchet mechanism, to cut even large branches or anvil branches, ideal for cutting dry and woody branches. For a good pruning it is necessary to have scissors with a very sharp blade, to always make clean cuts. An important tip regarding the use of scissors in the garden is to keep them disinfected: the cut will cause an injury to the plant and the blade could easily spread diseases among our crops.

Over the last few months of pruning, we tested the lightweight and versatile Fiskars PowerGearT P94 pruner, we were really impressed with its quality. Thanks to the gear mechanism, these shears maximize cutting power and reduce effort, so they can easily handle branches up to 2.6 cm in diameter. Even the handle is ergonomic and with a rotational movement it allows you to use all the fingers of the hand, correctly distributing the fatigue of the work. The blades, an essential part of this tool, are made of CrMoV stainless steel, with a non-stick coating to prevent friction and facilitate cleaning of the tool. It is also worth mentioning the simplicity with which the blade can be changed, to renew it after long use. For more information, see the product page on the Fiskars website.
