For precise sharpening of all types of chains! This Einhell may be compact, but it has all the advantages of a robust, reliable and efficient electric sharpener. In particular, it is equipped with a clamping device with a rotating vice and an adjustment scale to obtain the perfect angle and thus restore all the links to their sharpness without having to reposition the grinding wheel. Its head is also tiltable, allowing you to expand the possible applications and, thanks to an indispensable stopper, the chain is protected against being sharpened too deep and therefore against excessive wear. The machine finally has a transparent window, called visibility, which makes its use practical and safe, especially since it has lighting to be able to work even in low light.
My opinion : The sharpener that Einhell offers here is a professional model that should only really be of interest to people with recurring sharpening needs. It must be said that its price is still quite high, but on the other hand, it provides quality work. What I especially appreciated is that it is more than electric: it is almost automatic! Once the angle and the depth are set, the sharpening is done very quickly, especially since it is enough to turn the head to work the two teeth of the chain. It’s a time-saving and well-designed machine, and it’s also well thought out with its lighting, which is handy for being even more precise when working in a not necessarily well-lit garage. For professionals and people whose chainsaws require regular maintenance!

Fully adjustable, this chain sharpener offering up to 4800 rpm is capable of delivering a clean and precise result to give back the best to chainsaws! Indeed, Clarke has equipped it with an adjustable head at the optimal angle to sharpen each link and a depth stop to not attack them too much and risk damaging them. Thanks to these different configurations, it can also be used on all the most common types and sizes of chains, those found in consumer tools. At 2.9kg it’s light enough to store between uses, but for regular use it can also be quickly and easily attached to a workbench!
My opinion : Are you tired of spending a few dollars to sharpen your chainsaw chains or are you tired of doing it manually? However, you are not ready or do not have the means to acquire a professional sharpener? In this case, it is this Clarke model that I would recommend. It’s good value for money, combining ease of use, good features and a fairly reasonable price. It’s easy to adjust, and if you have different types of chains, you really won’t waste too much time between each sharpening. In addition, thanks to its tilting head and depth stop, it is as precise as it is practical. It is definitely a good choice for easy sharpening!

At only 25cm long, 22cm wide and 17cm high, this sharpener is a compact solution for attaching chainsaw chains! In addition, its small format does not prevent it from being equipped with all the technical characteristics essential for efficient and precise work. In particular, it has a rotating vice and an adjustment scale thanks to which it is possible to adjust the angle as closely as possible to obtain an optimal result and not having to go through repositioning for each side. . With its depth gauge, it also pays attention to the links and prevents excessive wear. Weighing just under 2 kg, it is ultimately very light but can be easily fixed to provide a safer working environment.
My opinion : As it is not expensive, you already suspect that this Einhell is not really intended for professionals! In fact, it is not as precise as the model of the same brand that I presented to you before, and although it has its depth stop, you still have to be careful not to press too hard at the risk of break the link. But for occasional use and for individuals, it is a pencil sharpener that defends itself rather well. Its main advantage is that it makes this task less painful, especially thanks to its pivoting angle head which is able to sharpen both sides of your chain quickly and without problems. If you want to restore your chainsaw to its fullest in a simple, convenient way and without having to spend a lot of money, this is the machine I recommend!

A clever design for easy manual sharpening! Pferd has designed a tool whose shape has been designed to save time and increase efficiency. Available in different sizes, with files suitable for different types of chainsaw chains, this tool is able to sharpen teeth while adjusting the depth gauge for precise results. It also offers a perfect angle: the vertical and homogeneous position of its files, combined with its adjustment, makes it possible to switch from the right tooth to the left tooth without having to go through disassembly, simply by turning the tool! Usable even by beginners, it is also equipped with a side opening which makes it very easy to replace boring files with new files that can be found in any DIY store.
My opinion : Compared to other manual sharpeners, which provide all the tools but require a lot of work, this Pferd is really great! What makes it particularly interesting is that it is no longer necessary to take the initiative to measure the height of the teeth to find the right file and sharpen them precisely: you just have to choose the right model here (according to of the chainsaw chain they have). ) and takes care of everything! If you can’t understand precisely how it works, I’ll put you just below the little explanatory video of the brand that should convince you. Anyway, I know I have been, and if you don’t want to invest in a power tool, this is by far the best alternative!

A complete and universal kit for sharpening chainsaw chains! Oregon brings together here all the essential tools that professionals and individuals need to guarantee a cut that is always as safe and clean as ever. Included are 3 round chain files 4.0mm, 4.8mm and 5.5mm, 1 flat file 15cm long, 1 file guide and a universal handle for use. They are delivered in a wheeled bag that has interior pockets and a Velcro closure (which can, at the same time, be easily attached to the belt to be always at hand). An included depth gauge tool makes precise maintenance easy. Please note that although Oregon offers this kit, it will sharpen all brands of chain including Stihl, Husqvarna, etc.
My opinion : The manual chain sharpener in all its simplicity! With this kit we clearly go back to basics with separate files, of different sizes, ideal when you want to be precise and you like to take care of your equipment. They shouldn’t pretend that they have many different advantages, they are just files, but on the other hand they are of excellent quality and, unlike an electric machine, you can always rely on them! The brand has also managed to make its equipment quite attractive in a practical case that does not take up space when folded. And at that price, it’s really not expensive and that’s an additional argument. To have in your toolbox: Even if you don’t use it regularly, it can still help you!
