It is powerful, it offers great freedom of movement, it is light and the brand has done a lot of work on balance and stability, with a perfectly placed center of gravity. It is a real pleasure to use it! It does not necessarily correspond to all professional needs (as it is, it is only equipped with an 8mm cutter for example), but for everything else, it is at the top. And what’s even better is that it even comes without a battery or charger if you already have one. I therefore recommend it without hesitation!

Much more than just a mower! With its DCW604NT-XJ, DeWalt offers a router for even more versatile work (a base is provided for each function). Wireless, the machine benefits from a powerful motor which benefits from an electronic speed variator to adapt according to the materials. For milling of different depths, the stop cylinder has 5 stages while the spindle lock allows quick and easy accessory changes. Thanks to the presence of 2 LED lights, visibility is optimal while the lining reduces vibrations for greater comfort. The device is delivered without battery but it is compatible with all 18 V of the brand.
My opinion : Ideal for combining the 2 characteristics with many similarities with a single tool! Whether it’s for your professional activity or because you like to tinker with quality machines, this DeWalt grass trimmer and ripper combo is an excellent choice. Power (up to 25,000 rpm anyway), robustness, finesse… everything is there for impeccable work. The fact that it is cordless also makes it very convenient, which is just an added bonus. (Too bad for the price, the battery is not included!). It is complete, well designed and if you like this brand (and you already have tools or at least some batteries…), you will not regret having it!

My opinion : If you want to equip yourself with a battery mower but your budget does not correspond to that of professional machines, I recommend this Ryobi! The work he is able to offer is quite adequate and he does not lack power. Its settings are made with precision, it is obviously very practical and comfortable enough to be guided elsewhere. If you don’t use 5Ah batteries, the battery life will unfortunately be quite short, and as it stands, you can’t use cutters other than 6mm and 1/4″. But at this price, it’s still a good option for crafters. and do-it-yourselfers, especially if you already have ONE+ at home!

Accompanied by its case, all its accessories and for a lower price than wireless, you can choose it with your eyes closed!

As efficient as it is fun to drive! The Makita 3709 is a router with a 530 W motor and a 6 mm cutter for high quality work. Precisely adjustable in depth via a rack, it also has a roller guide for chamfering and a transparent base for optimal visibility during use. Lightweight (weighs only 1.8 kg), it is both comfortable thanks to the Softgrip coating on its handle. In this simple version, it is finally delivered with a parallel guide but it is available in different boxes, with 6 additional cutters or even cutters for more versatility.
My opinion : Probably one of the best quality/price ratios among all corded edgers on the market! Makita once again lives up to its reputation as a trusted brand with this model that combines everything you would expect from such a machine. If it does not have the performance of a professional tool, it is on the contrary perfect for small finishing works, both for craftsmen and for individuals. Its power is good, it’s simple to use, its ergonomics are excellent, its results are clean and its price is affordable. You would really have to be very picky not to appreciate it!

As for its design, it is perfectly ergonomic, it is comfortable to hold and drive thanks to its Softgrip coating and it even has a dust extraction system for more comfortable use.
My opinion : If the budget you can afford to spend on a trimmer is limited, look no further, this Katsu is the one that should do the trick! From design to performance, it mimics a Makita and clearly benefits from it. It is also pleasant to handle, has a lot of power and the fact that it comes with bits of different diameters is very interesting. On the contrary, it is a little less precise in terms of depth adjustment and sometimes tends to heat up a little. But for a budget model, it still works great and should easily come in handy for the various projects you have in mind!
