DeWalt DCL074-XJ
Editor’s note: 5 / 5 | Reward : See the price on Amazon
Uniform illumination of the entire workspace! The DeWalt DCL074-XJ Jobsite Spotlight features a 360° beam, as well as a precision lens to provide clarity all around you. Its light intensity goes up to 5000 lumens and thanks to 3 positions, this lighting can be adjusted as needed (a first level at 1500 lumens and a second at 3200). With its sturdy cage, it’s fully equipped to withstand working environments (also with an IP54 water and dustproof rating), and it even has a tripod mount and hanging hook for easy use. It is as versatile as it is practical.
My opinion : This LED projector is really on top! I have been testing different ones for a while and out of all the models I have been able to test in real conditions, this DeWalt surpasses all the others in my eyes. Already, the 360° brilliance is incredible and at the power level, it’s nickel: it’s brilliant without blinding. The box is also a real success and, thanks to a Bluetooth connection, you can even control it remotely, with your smartphone. If I had to recommend just one, it would definitely be this one!
MeFard 100W
Editor’s note: 5 / 5 | Reward : See the price on Amazon
An LED projector that doesn’t do things by halves! Whether for construction sites or even outdoor events, the MeFard 100W has a very high brightness reaching 12,000 lumens. With its 360° lighting angle, it is able to illuminate absolutely the entire workplace without having to move it. It also has 3 different types of applications: placed on its tripod, in table lamp mode (the disassembly of the tripod is done simply by removing a few screws) or suspended using the supplied cable. For perfect safety and durability, it is also waterproof (IP64), grounded and has a double insulated structure for light.
My opinion : Hyper powerful is the first thing that comes to mind when talking about this MeFard 100W! With its 12,000 lumens, it is also very difficult to find an equivalent on the market and when it comes to using it, the difference is clear. If you regularly need to illuminate large volumes of work, this is probably the model that will be most useful to you, especially since it knows how to become versatile with its different uses. This construction spotlight is really a very good investment!
Bosch Professional GLI 18V-2200 C
Editor’s note: 4.5 / 5 | Reward : See the price on Amazon
With its 2200 lumens, the Bosch Professional GLI 18V-2200 C is an LED work lamp capable of being an excellent source of light to continue working with precision and in complete safety, even in dark places. With an optimal design, it is equipped in particular with a seal and a battery cover that protect it from dust and possible water splashes. Thanks to a Bluetooth connection, it is also possible to control it remotely, from a smartphone, in particular to adjust its brightness. It offers 2 different configurations, with a reduced power mode at 950 lumens which allows you to benefit from greater autonomy. (An 18V 5Ah battery can provide up to 8 hours of runtime in these conditions.)
My opinion : With Bosch Professional, the quality is almost always there, and it’s still the case with this projector. In addition to excellent luminosity, the set is very solid, quite compact, easily adjustable and movable at will thanks to the wide handle and low weight. The batteries also give it good autonomy, enough to last a whole day. If your portable tool is of this brand, its affordable price makes it a very good choice.
DeWalt DCL077-XJ
Editor’s note: 4.5 / 5 | Reward : See the price on Amazon
Everything you need to be useful on construction sites! Thanks to the DeWalt DCL077-XJ, illumination is ensured thanks to the powerful light beam, which can reach up to 2000 lumens. Fully dimmable, it also offers 3 different levels, with a minimum of 500 lumens, to save the battery for example (which can be 12V or 18V). Its multi-position handle is also very practical because it allows you to position it correctly so that it perfectly illuminates the desired area (a thread for mounting on a tripod is also present). Finally, it is IP54 rated, which means it is protected against water and dust ingress.
My opinion : I selected this other DeWalt work light because it is the perfect alternative to my favorite if you already have DeWalt batteries (especially since these batteries can give you longer runtimes) . Indeed, its luminosity is top to work efficiently and thanks to its compact format and its ingenious handle, it has no problem to be practical, whatever the conditions.
Ryobi R18TL-0 18V
Editor’s note: 4.5 / 5 | Reward : See the price on Amazon
The Ryobi R18TL-0 18V is not just a simple LED work light, it also comes with its tripod. Thanks to this telescopic handle (whose feet are adjustable according to the terrain and the presence of a slope), it is possible to make it reach a height of 1.70 m and this is not the only point where it is practical: its rotation The head allows a rotation of 310° and thanks to various suspension points, its light beam can be directed in almost all directions. Its brightness also reaches 2700 lumens and is adjustable on 3 levels. Finally, the set folds into a very compact format for easy storage and movement.
My opinion : What I like about this Ryobi is that it offers a different model from the competition, already mounted on its tripod for instantly more versatile use. The design is also successful, it’s solid, it’s stable and being able to fold it completely is very well thought out. In a similar price range to other brands, this is a great option if you already own ONE+ tools!
Makita DEADML805
Editor’s note: 3.5 / 5 | Reward : See the price on Amazon
Ideal for construction sites, the Makita DEADML805 stands out from most LED floodlights with its 2 operating modes: it can be powered from the mains or the brand’s 18V battery. In the event of a longer working day than expected and a discharged battery, it is possible to continue using it. To see clearly, its light intensity is 750 lumens, with a minimum setting of 450 lumens. Compact and light (2.6 kg without battery), it is also easily adjustable through 360°. For use in all conditions, its XPT technology finally limits water and dust infiltration.
My opinion : The perfect mix! Construction lights that work on both battery and mains power are rare, and that’s reason enough to choose this model. It also has many advantages, such as its great maneuverability and its perfect solidity, worthy of the manufacturing quality of a brand like Makita. At “only” 750 lumens, it struggles a bit to compete with other models, but until your workspaces are huge, you won’t notice much of a difference.
Hychika 50W
Editor’s note: 4 / 5 | Reward : See the price on Amazon
With 80 LEDs for a light intensity that reaches 5500 lumens! The Hychika 50W is an efficient and practical projector that meets all expectations, both indoors and outdoors (IP65 waterproof rating). In particular, it can be rotated 360° to send its light where it is needed, its right-angled foot gives it perfect stability, and it also folds up so that storage takes up as little space as possible. Hyper resistant to both cold and heat, its tempered glass front perfectly protects the LEDs while its aluminum casing allows rapid heat dissipation. Finally, its 3 m long power cable guarantees great freedom of use.
My opinion : If your budget is limited, this Hychika 50W is an LED work light that should interest you. For less than 40€, I think you will have a hard time finding better! In the tests it was a good surprise: its brightness is of good quality, it is quite powerful and at the same time well designed thanks to its minimalist structure but perfectly orientable/adjustable. It’s a simple, effective and inexpensive model that should have no trouble satisfying you!
