Bird’s Nest Fern (asplenium nest)
If you like ferns, one of the favorites to have inside the house is the one known as a bird’s nest. Its leaves, called fronds, can measure up to 1 meter long, and are bright green.. It can live in low light conditions, but I recommend placing it in a spot with plenty of light, as it will grow better that way. In addition, it must be sprinkled with water daily if the ambient humidity is below 50%.

The blue bird of paradise, unlike the orange which is the most common (its scientific name is Strelitzia reginae in case you were curious), it is a plant that can easily reach 4-5 meters in height. Indian brown (Aesculus hippocastanum)
If you want to have a very beautiful tree with large green leaves, I highly recommend horse chestnut. Of course, it needs a lot of space, since it can grow up to 30 meters tall and develop a 5-6 meter wide crown. But, I insist, it is wonderful. It has webbed leaves, up to 30 centimeters wide, and they are green, although in autumn they turn orange before falling.. As if that were not enough, its flowers are grouped in pyramidal panicles about 30 centimeters high, so they stand out a lot.
The only downside is perhaps that it is not drought resistant. Besides, needs mild temperatures in spring and summer and frosts in winter. In fact, it is able to withstand down to -18 ºC, but extreme heat causes damage.

The giant Indian cane, also called achira, is the largest variety of Canna of the genus, since it can measure 4 meters in height while the other species do not exceed two meters. It is rhizomatous and develops green leaves up to 50 centimeters long by 20 centimeters wide. It blooms throughout spring and summer, producing red flowers grouped in inflorescences.

It is a primitive plant, which lived with the dinosaurs, and which has not changed much since. For it, it is interesting to put it in a place where it can stand out, always in direct sunlight. In addition, you should know that it is frost resistant down to -4ºC.
