How to sprout mango
The mango, although we all think of it as a tropical Caribbean fruit, is native to the Indian subcontinent and Indochina. Later it was introduced to other countries with a tropical climate with very good results, although it can also be grown in regions with a temperate and Mediterranean climate.
mango seed
The fruit has inside the seed protected by what we popularly call the bone. We must therefore start by removing this protection from the seed, in order to be able to access and germinate the mango much earlier.
Although it seems very difficult, in the video I show you the easiest way to do it and that the mango seed suffers as little as possible and we do not break it.
Germinate mango step by step
After extracting the mango seed from the protective bone, it is necessary to do as with all seeds so that they germinate. We must provide them with the ideal environment, which is nothing more than good humidity but without exceeding it, otherwise it could rot.
You also have to provide it with darkness and a good temperature, with what’s really inside the house it’s more than enough for a mango seed to start germinating.
There are many methods to provide them with these conditions. It could even be buried directly in a pot, but with the video method we advance the days when the seed germinates.
Finally, once we have managed to germinate the mango seed, we will plant it in a pot with some depth so that the roots develop well and vertically.
You can see all of this and the previous steps in the video. Hope this helps and helps you in the process. Enjoy the experience a lot.
