The power of a professional blower! Equipped with a 4-stroke engine, this Makita is capable of reaching a dizzying speed of nearly 300 km/h: nothing can resist it, whether it’s wet leaves on the lawn or debris in green spaces. Since it is designed to be worn on the back for several hours, the brand has taken care to make it as comfortable as possible. It is also one of the rare thermal fans equipped with 4 shock absorbers: strategically placed between the motor and the harness, these shock absorbers limit the vibrations felt to reduce muscle fatigue. The shoulder straps are also padded and the back benefits from good ventilation, enough to protect the user as well as possible. Thanks to an automatic decompression valve, the force required for starting is also reduced. Finally, the engine meets the latest environmental standards, particularly in terms of exhaust emissions.
My opinion : Of all the leaf blowers I’ve tried, this Makita model is my favorite! It must be said that once started, its blowing power is quite impressive. To clean several hectares of land and large parks, it does a very good job: it sweeps everything in its path! But if it’s the one I prefer, it’s because the brand has really sorted out this cushioning system combined with a well-designed harness. The device is not really light, but when you use it, you quickly forget its weight. I found that it caused much less fatigue and pain than other models, and this is a detail that is important. But what’s particularly nice is that for a professional device like this, it’s actually not expensive. Both for professionals and for individuals, it is a blower that I recommend without hesitation!

Because not all thermal blowers are necessarily backpacks! Makita offers here a lightweight (only 4.5 kg) and very handy portable model for all green space maintenance tasks. Equipped with a 4-stroke engine like a real professional machine, it offers significantly better performance than a 2-stroke blower. If you obviously feel at the level of breathing power (with a speed that goes up to 230 km/h), the preservation of the environment is also better, the noise emitted is less and the fuel consumption is lower around 40% anyway. It also works directly with SP95 without the need to mix oil and gasoline. In terms of ergonomics, the handle offers perfect balance and easy start-up. The blower alone can however be equipped with a suction unit (to be purchased additionally) for more versatile use.
My opinion : Of the entire range of Makita leaf blowers, this is probably one of the best value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend it to both professionals and individuals, as it offers very good performance. I especially liked that it was easy to use (especially when starting, you shouldn’t dislocate your shoulder), that it wasn’t too noisy, and that its tank had good autonomy: with a tank full, you can easily cover several hundred m². The power is there, and for a handheld blower it’s pretty light, which is key. (The 4.5 kg is obviously expensive, but it’s quite manageable.) Compared to other models of the same power, it’s really cheap and therefore a bargain!

This Makita 36V is the battery version of the brand’s professional blowers. Thanks to its 2 18V batteries, it has a very high power and is capable of creating a blast of air whose speed can reach nearly 200 km/h! As a result, it very easily sweeps everything in its path, but thanks to a 6-position speed variator, it also knows how to be more careful, especially when cleaning very gently next to flower beds, for example, or even for do not lift gravel and other decorative pebbles. In addition to its 3-position telescopic tube, it is also equipped with battery charge level indicators: a quick glance lets you know if it still has autonomy or not for the rest of the work. to perform. ! Please note that it comes without battery but all 18V batteries from other Makita tools are compatible.
My opinion : To tell the truth, I did not expect such efficiency when trying this Makita! It’s really very powerful and it’s quite impressive: it has absolutely no trouble picking up wet leaves or pine needles, and it is therefore obvious that it has its place in a workshop / garage to clean faster. The advantage of battery-powered electric blowers like this is that they can guarantee perfect freedom of movement, and on this side too it goes a long way since, with just under 4 kg, it’s enough light (but well balanced). With a set of 5 Ah batteries, its autonomy is even sufficient to cover a few hundred square meters. Its price is obviously more attractive if you already have compatible batteries, but in any case, it remains an excellent option!
