Extremely precise! The Bosch Professional GIM 60 is an electronic level specially designed for professionals and individuals. Thanks to its digital display, it is able to clearly display inclinations, whether in degrees, percentages or even millimeters/meters, with a margin of error of 0.05°. Practical and ingenious, it also uses directional arrows and sound signals (at 0° and 90°) to indicate to the user when the alignment is optimal. It even has a report function to save and transfer the result of the measurement you have just made! Robust, it finally benefits from IP54 protection against dust and water splashes, ideal for construction sites, and its display is backlit for easy reading even in low light conditions. (The 4 AA batteries required for its operation are included.)
My opinion : More approaches with this Bosch Professional! The precision and quality of work it offers compared to a regular bubble tool is amazing, and that’s one of the reasons it’s my favorite. Honestly, I find it faultless and unless you’re picky (it could have had a magnetic base like some of its competitors, for example), you should think like me. It is very pleasant to use, you can almost trust it with your eyes closed with its beeps, and not a small detail, it even comes with a protective case that makes it easy to transport. At 60cm long, it’s also the perfect size for most building sites and construction jobs. He is really on top and I can only recommend him!
Stabila TECH 196

For the most demanding jobs! Because even electronic levels can be abused on the job site (drops, bumps, etc.), the Stabila Type 196 is designed to provide infallible resistance while maintaining its original accuracy. Equipped with two vials and a digital measurement with optimal readability (rotation in case of inverted position), it simplifies measurement taking while being super solid and 100% waterproof and dustproof. . It also facilitates the transfer of an angle measurement and, thanks to 3 different sounds, guidance can be done even just by listening. In addition to its different display modes, its autonomy of up to 150 hours of operation and its removable non-slip tips, it is finally offered in a wide range of sizes to meet all needs.
My opinion : The ultimate in electronic levels! If you are looking to equip yourself with the best that exists on the market, this Stabila is undoubtedly the one for you. It’s simple, all the people who have had the opportunity to use it (including me) only say good things about it. As well as being super precise, offering a full range of functions on its LCD display and having excellent build quality, the design even includes a handy handle for optimal grip. Not to mention that it can reach a length of 180 cm to meet all needs and adapt to all building trades. It is true that it requires a small financial investment, but it is worth it: you will not regret having it by your side!

Digital and magnetic for even more practical use! With this level of the FatMax range, Stanley offers the possibility to facilitate the taking of measurements on all construction sites, whether professional or domestic. With a length of 40 cm, it also includes 2 classic bubble bottles and an auto-reversing backlit LCD screen with many functions. Memorization (up to 9 simultaneous saves), change of unit (degree, percentage, millimeter/meter) and even the battery level, are of great help, especially since a beep can be activated to indicate angles at 0°, 45° and 90°° . Solid and durable, it resists all uses, even the most intensive, thanks in particular to its reinforced lids and its metal body. Finally, it comes with its waterproof storage bag to protect it and transport it more easily.
My opinion : This Stanley FatMax, in my opinion, is the electronic level that combines good performance and an affordable price. It allows you to take advantage of all the most interesting technologies, namely a digital display of the measurement, the possibility of storing it in memory for reporting or even sound signals to work more efficiently. It’s certainly not perfect (the screen is not really readable, for example, unless you are right in front of it, and the tool sometimes needs to be recalibrated) but nothing comes to spoil the good impression general. Especially because it is of good quality, it is resistant, and it is even magnetic. It’s really good value for money and will come in handy whether you’re a craftsman or just a do-it-yourselfer.
Bosch Professional GAM 270 MFL

A 2-in-1 electronic level! The Bosch Professional GAM 270 MFL not only displays precise measurements on its digital display (+/- 0.1°), but is also used to measure angles up to 270°. In addition to its 2 functions, it even has a laser transfer up to a distance of 30 m, enough to work in the best conditions for an impeccable result. Among other features, it can also automatically calculate single or double miter angles without the need for other accessories, while its locking function allows the measurement taken to be easily transferred to a workpiece. Extremely robust, it is protected against dust and water splashes (IP54) and is supplied with the 4 AA batteries necessary for its operation, but also with its protective case.
My opinion : If in the context of your professional activity (or your DIY work), measuring the inclination is not enough and you also need to know the angles, this Bosch Professional is a very good alternative. Apart from the fact that it is a bit heavy and therefore not always the most pleasant to handle, it is very precise and I found it incredibly practical and efficient thanks to its many functions. You can read all the measurements at a glance on its double digital screen, you can rely on its sound signals to work faster and the fact that it incorporates laser transfer is also a great help. True professional equipment, it is also not at all afraid of the working conditions of construction sites. A great tool for those who need it!
Risepro 82112M-S

Checking the inclination has never been easier! The Risepro 82112M-S puts the electronic level within everyone’s reach: thanks to its backlit LCD screen, reading the measurement and ensuring its adjustment becomes quick and easy. Practical, this display also shows a reading that is always straight, even in an inverted position, and offers different modes according to your needs. Its measurement range is 4 x 90° (for a total of 360°), it can display degrees as well as millimeters/meters, it has 2 modes (absolute or relative measurements), its retention function allows you to reassemble the data and it is obviously accompanied by bubbles to remain usable even in the absence of batteries. With a length of 41.6 cm, it is finally equipped with 4 powerful magnets which offer you a practical magnetic base to stay firmly in place on metal surfaces.
My opinion : Cheap electronic levels generally tend to lack precision, and while this Risepro obviously isn’t as accurate as a professional model, it’s one of the more affordable ones that left the best impression on me. Like the big ones, it has all the most important and interesting features, and as far as tilting goes, it’s always looked good to me, whether it’s relative to bubbles or some other digital level that I had on hand. At eighteen inches, it’s a bit too short for my tastes to be really useful for building professionals, but for craftsmen or DIYers, it might do the trick. If your budget is limited but you still want to orient yourself with a clearer digital display, I highly recommend it!
